The University of Tulsa Department of Special Collections is located on the 5th floor of McFarlin Library and is open by appointment only from Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Please note that the Reading Room is closed daily from 12pm to 1pm.

- Schedule your visit to TU Special Collections
- Request to view materials in-person through our archival finding aids
- Request and pay for up to 200 scanned pages from a single collection in a 6-month period
- Track materials you've already seen and items you want to see in the future
Before You Visit
- You must receive an email confirmation for your booked appointment from a Special Collections staff member.
- Bring your TU ID, academic ID, or a government-issued photo ID. Reading Room staff will hold this ID while you have TU Special Collections materials checked out.
- Review our Policies and Procedures for detailed information regarding use and access, including accepted ID types and guidelines for handling and photographing materials.
- No jackets or coats with pockets are allowed in the Reading Room. The Reading Room environment can be cold, so if you are uncomfortable in a chilly room, you may bring a sweater or cardigan without pockets.
